Anti-Sansha Fleets Baited by Pirate Gangs

Sahdil, Domain - 08.11.113 - High bounties placed by CONCORD on invading Sansha vessels are attracting pirate forces seeking to force engagements and loot the wrecks of defenders' expensive and well-appointed ships.

"BTL Pub" and "The Ditanian Fleet" (TDF) are two of the largest anti-Sansha communities operating in high security space, formed around channels that organize full fleets from lone pilots and small groups who want to be more potently involved. Phattecia, a BTL representative, stated that BTL's goal is to allow a "secure channel for shield fleets to rally from, this is our highest priority." TDF is similar, though focused on armour fleets. Their spokesman Carmelos53 said they "allow pilots from all corners... to socialize and fly in relative safety from griefers."

BTL has a banlist of over 1000 known pilots, corporations and alliances and employs moderators to bring a measure of order and security to their channel, while TDF maintains a public mailing list of blacklisted pilots. Such measures have only a limited effectiveness, however, in the face of numerous spies. Ammzi of BTL stressed that the onus is on all pilots to ensure their own safety by "taking corp history of other fleet members and their killboards" into account.

The Skunkworks [SKNK] are one corporation that has come to specialize in baiting the pilots fighting incursions into high security-space engagements. CEO Psychotic Monk said that the best part of his business is "taking joy in knocking the wind out of some smug incursion bears who have, until recently, thought they were perfectly safe." SKNK diplomat Slimy Worm went on to say "We target valuable ships that can't really defend themselves." Recent kills included a Rattlesnake battleship which was lured into a trap by a member of Skunkworks claiming to be under attack. When the Rattlesnake pilot remotely repaired the ship, a gang of Skunkworks-affiliated vessels quickly came down on the Rattlesnake and destroyed it.

Psychotic Monk described the efforts of the incursion-fighters to defend themselves against The Skunkworks and their ilk as "meagre," citing his corporation's killboard which now claims over 40 billion ISK worth in damage dealt in a week, with very few documented losses. Pilots associated with the TDF channel, however, have collected donations to hire mercenaries to deal with The Skunkworks. SKNK claims that their increased operations is a direct response to the war declaration that they have received. Slimy Worm said "We're defending ourselves from [the incursion community] but we don't really need any justification: might is right." It's alleged that The Skunkworks use multiple shell corporations to shield their members and assets - Psychotic Monk himself was flying under a alternate ticker himself at the time he was interviewed.

After a little over a year of engaging Sansha Kuvakei's forces, BTL representatives dismissed The Skunkworks and similar predators as able only to hurt those who don't yet grasp the high security-space Rules of Engagement enforced by CONCORD, while TDF's Carmelos53 stated that "The Skunkworks is just the flavour of the month."

Sansha’s Nation Recruiting

Pator, Heimatar - On Wednesday, Citizen Astur appeared in the Pator system and exchanged words with capsuleer Drake Arson, a long-time Sansha supporter, and asked "are you ready to join with us?" Citizen Astur quickly formed a wormhole which took Drake Arson to Nation's home region in Stain.

Drake Arson A capsuleer task force quickly assembled and responding managed to destroy Citizen Astur's Revenant, after which Citizen Arson re-emerged from the wormhole piloting a Hel Supercarrier and re-engaged the capsuleer force. The task force of 80+ pilots managed to defeat Citizen Arson, his last words included, "I can return there whenever I please".

Attempting to contact former pilot Drake Arson, he had only these words: "Citizen Arson is Nation. I am Nation. We are one."

Ghost Hunter, a well known Sansha supporter and CEO of True Slave Foundations, portrayed the event as "beautiful". He said: "Brother Arson's work has proved invaluable and I am glad he has found home in Nation."

While ISD Tedra Kerrigan was the first reported capsuleer to be pulled into Sansha's ranks, Drake Arson is the first Sansha supporter and willing convert to join Nation. Citizen Arson Engaged

"Big or small, weak or strong, all are unified within Nation. Together, there is no obstacle that cannot be overcome." These are the words of True Slave Foundations. Such devout worship may sooner or later draw further supporters into the grasp of Nation.

Freighter Massacre in Pure Blind

EC-P8R, Pure Blind - On 03.09.113, the Fuzzy Logec alliance lost a convoy of freighters full of capital ship construction equipment to a permutation of an old scam by Goonswarm Federation.

Weeks ago Fuzzy Logec CEO Nekumi negotiated with Akara Ito of the Goonswarm Federation and believed that she had "bought 3JN9-Q, O-2RNZ and AGG-NR" for 30bn ISK and an agreement to supply Goonswarm with a number of capital ships per month.

Goonswarm had even offered Nekumi an escort fleet to keep Fuzzy Logec's capital production equipment secure. Fuzzy Logec jumped into EC-P8R from Torrinos, where they were met by their "escort" and summarily destroyed. Referencing an alleged lack of discipline in Goonswarm fleets, Akara Ito noted that "Everybody remembered not to shoot the first neutral appearing and we held our fire until the very last freighter was trapped." Nekumi estimated Fuzzy Logec's losses at 8 freighters and 2 Orcas, all full of equipment.

After the rout, Akara claimed that Goonswarm faced an internal issue, with pilots dropping from the fleet to loot wrecks away from the eyes of their FC. Facing this insubordination, Akara Ito says "blues were shot at." While some pilots still managed to loot and escape unlogged, Akara notes two Chimera BPOs as some of the higher value items captured.

Nekumi said she knew very well of Goonswarm's reputation but believed the deal to be fair. Her alliance is still seeking an agreement for ownership of a few nullsec systems, saying "If [anyone] needs an alliance who build caps (if they're used to kill Goons, they're cheaper), we just need a few nice quiet systems."

Akara Ito commented "I'd sell systems anytime."

Vangel Won in Poker Tournament

Jita, The Forge - The Vangel Tournament at EOH Poker concluded on 07.08.113 with winner Maurospanthiras receiving an Amarrian Vangel cruiser valued at approximately 30 Billion ISK.

The Vangel is a limited edition cruiser produced exclusively as a prize for Alliance Tournament IX. While such rarities are seldom fielded in combat, the Vangel is described by one combat pilot, Shiroi Okami, as combining "the strengths of a Sacrilege and a Curse with the weaknesses of neither."

Runner-up Askgar Elzoop received a 12 month Pilot's Licence Extension (PLEX). The third place winner received 6 months in PLEX, while 4th place was awarded a Blood Raider Bhaalgorn battleship.

Tournament organizer Selene D'Celeste said that the event had gone smoothly and was very successful. EOH Poker currently holds over 9,000 capsuleer accounts and has tracked over 105 trillion ISK in wagers since its conception in year 109.

Maurospanthiras said he was excited for a chance to win a legendary ship. Having won it, he said he plans to keep the Vangel rather than sell it on for the 30 Billion ISK pricetag, but laughingly said "I can't fly Amarr for the life of me."

Runner-up Askgar Ezloop said he only signed up with EOH a week before the tournament began and so was amazed to discover that he had received a seat in the match. "I've never seen more than 1 billion ISK... so to suddenly have 12 PLEX, it'll change my... life."

EOH Poker has concluded a special 30-seat tournament to celebrate 30,000 registrations, awarding a 30 Billion ISK Vangel cruiser to the winner, Maurosanthiras, along with Pilot's Licence Extensions and Blood Raider ships for the remaining competitors.

Capsuleer Cloned by Sansha’s Nation

Rasile - A week ago, another Sansha wormhole appeared in the Rasile system where capsuleers battled and defeated a Sansha Revenant piloted by Slave Tedra01, a name also recognised as an Interstellar Correspondent reporter.

Tedra Engaged In the week prior, ISD Tedra Kerrigan gained access to a private facility in the Stain region. There, she was allowed an exclusive one-on-one interview with Sansha Kuvakei to discuss the increased Sansha activity within New Eden. There is now evidence suggesting that before her return, she was cloned and her memory wiped.

Upon hearing the news of the battle against her Sansha clone, ISD Tedra Kerrigan was shocked. She entered Rasile and gave visual confirmation of her own clone. It was at this time she received an anonymous letter containing the unaltered transcript of her interview with Sansha Kuvakei.

During the battle, Slave Tedra01's devoted cries "for Nation", were met equally by capsuleer's calls "for freedom". This abduction seems to be yet another case of civilians and capsuleers being drawn, unwillingly or unknowingly, into Sansha's ranks.
